Our son joined Marquette Soo Bahk Do in 2010 at age 11 after we were searching for an activity for him to join.  At the time, we had no idea how much that decision would impact our lives as a family.  He was instantly drawn to the positive energy that he found while training at the studio and was hooked.  We, as a family threw ourselves into the commraderie that the studio provided. We are thankful for our Soo Bahk family and it is become a huge part of our lives. Our son is currently at the studio 4 times a week and loves it!  As parents, we saw it bring out the best in him by increasing his focus and discipline that carried over into his every day life.  He has made incredible friendships and bonds that have helped shape his teenage years in such a positive way.  Master Carl Vonck has a way of reaching his students individually and provide guidance in such a professional yet personal way.  He quickly became a mentor for our son and gained the respect and appreciation from us as parents.  I highly recommend Marquette Soo Bahk Do for any parent thinking of trying a martial art for their child or are searching for the right "fit" for their child to belong to something.  After watching her big brother train for years, we now have our 8 year old daughter following in his footsteps.....with mom and dad having plans of joining in the very near future!
